Welcome to the PhotoGeo

We continue our odyssey by moving inland from the coast, where, despite the presence of many potentially dangerous earthquake faults, including the San Andreas, the area of California that lies east of the Pacific coastline, south of the active volcanoes and west of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, has a look and feel of serenity that emphatically understates the drama of it's geological history - and even it's present day geological state. Topographically smooth, in places almost velveteen, and sporadically dotted, or clad entirely by California LiveOaks, grapevines or rows and rows of fruits and vegetables, the sometimes billiard table flatness or gently rolling hills of Central California, and the soft light that seems to hang upon them all year long, have attracted artists of many media, since the days of its very earliest native and immigrant settlers.
